Budget-Friendly Natural Hair Masks for Winter

Budget-Friendly Natural Hair Masks for Winter

Well! We all hate dryness that comes free with the cold season. It’s kind of a package deal.

For me, my feet, my skin, even my scalp is so itchy (and not because of dandruff) during the winters. Don’t even get me started on the frizz!

Hydration is definitely important. Water does help! But treating our scalp with a good moisturizing hair mask can rejuvenate the hair from the outside.

Where there are many brands that provides hair mask, I always prefer homemade, natural hair mask.

Go nuts with Coconut!

Coconut oil hair mask

If you know what I mean 😉

It’s actually quite true. Coconut has so many benefits for our hair and skin.

It’s rich in proteins, vitamins B and C, fatty acids, zinc, potassium and zinc.

Apply some extra virgin coconut oil to the hair. Massage it thoroughly. Leave it for (at least) two hours and wash it off before smooth, shiny locks.

Mayo & Olive oils Natural hair mask with ACV rinse:

I have personally tried this hair mask for so many times. It’s oh! So amazing.

Although the preparation might take some time, (plus I actually can’t stand the smell of mayo but washes off after shampooing so…) but the results are totally worth it!

Dry no More!

Add Sesame seed oil, Castor Oil, Almond Oil (equal quantity) and mix them up for a hair mask. Apply to your roots/scalp.

Almond oil contains omega,3,9 and 6 acids which promote hair growth. It’s also contain vitamin e oil that prevents scalp inflammation. Farah Dhukai swears by this oil. She uses it in EVERYTHING.

Castor Oil is great for encouraging hair growth and prevents hair loss. It’s super thick consistency has the ability to deeply moisturize the strands.  It also has anti- fungal and anti-viral properties.

Sesame seed oil can improve the circulation of blood in the scalp thus promotes hair growth.

Mayo, Eggs and Avocado!

Mayo and eggs are famous for lustrous shiny hair.

This natural hair mask is a perfect moisturizer that prevents hair fall, dandruff and frizz.

Mix 4 tsps mayo, 2 eggs and half avocado.

Beat the mixture till its smooth and creamy. Apply to the roots combing down to the tips of the hair.

Cover your hair with a shower cap (or a plastic bag)

Wash off after 30 minutes.

I love my hair and I keep trying new tips and hair masks. If you know any good natural hair mask, do leave me in the comment section below. I would love to try.

  1. I have tried so many things over the years to help my dry, frizzy and brittle hair. My hair is different now that an it was 10 years ago when I was 18 and I’ve never stopped trying to get back to that. I do love coconut oil and use hair masks regularly. Thanks for the tips!
