Lips are one of most defining feature of our face. Although it doesn’t take you much to make them pop out beautifully, but a good lipstick is almost always the key. So, I’ll be reviewing the much talked Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick Swatches. I got almost 6 shades from his collection. I’ll talk about the quality, the colors, how drying they are on the lips, what texture they leave you with and what is the quantity as compared to the price.
First thing I noticed about these liquid lipsticks was how thin they felt on my lips, so much that it was hard to feel whether I was wearing anything on my lips or not. They are super light weight with good quality.
Another thing I noticed about these was that they are considerably smaller in size than what I was expecting, seeing from the pictures when I was making the purchase. I couldn’t make out this small size even from the videos and reviews that I watched before getting over the internet to get a few for myself. I actually thought that these would be a little bigger. One of my friend even thought that these were the mini versions (which they aren’t).
I paid around 90-95 Saudi Riyals for one liquid lipstick. That makes around $25, which I feel is a lot for this quantity, that is not enough. This price includes the shipping from America but not the delivery cost. Not the quantity I wanted to pay so much for. You can get this exact same shade in Color Pop or Make Revolution for a much lesser price. Even though the quantity is great, given you don’t feel them on your lips at all, all the while being super light weight and long lasting, but they are quite pricey.
The shade ‘Unicorn Blood’ It needed around two to three coats before it appeared fine on my lips. It wasn’t as much opaque as the other shades it came with. Some of these were indeed super opaque and you would only need a single coat for them. The quality is amazing but a few of them might require you to put on extra coats for the lipstick to work on your lips.
Another great thing about these lipsticks was that these are quite hydrating. You obviously need a little moisturizer on your lips before applying but they did not dry or chap out my lips at all.
The applicator makes it very easy to apply the lipstick on your lips. In my opinion I would give these lipsticks 6 out of 10. Yes I am very critical about the products I am using. Why 6? Majorly because of the price and the quantity it comes in. If I’m paying 90-95 Saudi Riyals for a single one of them, I expect quite some usage out of it. I personally do not think they are worth paying that much money for.
Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick Swatches
SO that’s it for Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks Swatches review. My overall say is that even though the quality is amazing and they look absolutely beautiful on the lips but considering the price and the quantity they are just not THAT good.
