How to treat dry skin at home

Each one of us would love to have healthy and glowing skin. A good skin is a symbol of good health and it requires as much care as any other part of the body. I am here to discuss with you different treatments to take care of particular skin types.

In this article, I want to cover some basic home remedies to treat dry skin.

If your skin has less oil and moisture than the required level then your skin type is dry. This skin will tend to develop wrinkles and lines easily. This skin type also looks parched, ages quicker than normal and flakes easily.

REMEDY 1:

Honey                   1 tsp
Olive oil                1 tsp
Egg yolk                1
Oatmeal               1 tbsp

  •  Mix all the ingredients together and form a paste.
  • Apply a thin layer on your face and wash it off after 20 mins.

REMEDY 2:

Brown Sugar            1 tbsp
Olive oil                     1 tsp
Lemon Juice             1 tsp
Honey                         1 tsp

  • Mix all the ingredients together and form a paste.
  • Apply a thin layer on your face and wash it off after 30 mins.

REMEDY 3:

Honey          2 tbsp
Milk              2 tsp

  • Mix both the ingredients to form a paste.
  • Apply an on your face and neck.
  • Leave it on for about 15 – 20 minutes.
  • Wash it off with lukewarm water.

REMEDY 4:

Chickpea flour         1 tbsp
Olive oil                    2 tsp
Honey                        1 tsp
Apple half                 (scrape the inside of the apple and get the pulp)

  • Mix all the ingredients together and form a paste.
  • Apply it like a scrub all over your face and neck.
  • Leave the mixture on for about 10 minutes and wash with warm water.

REMEDY 5:

Aloe Vera gel that is collected from the Aloe Vera leaf works as an effective skin moisturizer. One can collect the gel by cutting aloe Vera leaf and withdraw the gel out.
Apply that gel like a lotion on your hands, face and neck.

Tip: Always make sure to pat dry your face using a soft towel.
