“Smile is the prettiest thing you can wear”.
I do agree 100%. But unfortunately, the winter dryness makes it dull and unattractive.
The winter body care does go a long way in getting healthier, less dry lips. However, as the lips are the most delicate part of the body, they deserve special attention as well.
Using Shea butter, glycerine, petroleum jelly and commercial lip balms, is a simple way to keep the lips moistened.
Or we can try a quick 2-ingredient DIY remedy to soften the chapped lips.
Recently, I also learned to make DIY all-natural lip balms that require just 2 ingredients each.
Lets quickly find out these yummy recipes.
Rosey Pink Lip Balm
- ¼ cup Pomegranate
- 1tsp coconut oil
Press out pomegranate juice by pressing the seeds with the back of a spoon. Strain the juice and mix the oil with it. Simply add it to the container for storing.
It can be refrigerated for about a month.
- 5 black berries
- 5 raspberries
- 1tsp coconut oil
Microwave the berries for 30 sec. Then, press out the juice with the back of a spoon. Add the oil. Keep refrigerated. You can use it for a month. I bet it will not be left that long 😉
Experiment with the amount of berries to make the perfect shade you love.
The Wine Red
- 1 Beetroot (medium size)
- 1tsp Coconut oil
Peel off the beetroot and grade it. Now, place the graded beetroot in a cheesecloth and squeeze the juice out of it.
