#1 The Classic Curl

I call them the classy curls because these are very casual but beautiful looking curls; the type of curls you usually get through a curler.

Steps:

  1. So first of all separate a part of your hair.
  2. Straighten it with the straightener so as to get rid of the fly-aways.
  3. Wrap the hair around the straightener’s plate.
  4. Twist your straightener halfway and then bring it all the way down.
  5. In the end brush your fingers in your curled hair to release the volume.

#2 Crimpled Waves

The second method involves braiding your hair. You can wear this look on semi-formal, outdoor and indoor events.

Steps:

  1. Take a small section of your hair.
  2. Braid them to the ends.
  3. Once you are done with 2-3 braided sections press your hair with the straightener.
  4. Let the hair cool off for at least 5 minutes  or better still you can continue to braid and press rest of your hair and open them all up in the end.

This will give you a very nice beach like wave texture on your hair. Enjoy this sleek look which you usually get using a hair crimper.

#3 Spiral Curls

Now this method involves curling your hair around a pencil. I know this method will take a lot of your time but with the added advantage of beautiful looking bouncy curls that no other method will give you. This can work best if you want to curl a few strands of your hair, especially the front one’s and you don’t have a hair curler with you.

Steps:

  1. Take a small section of your hair.
  2. Twist them around.
  3. Roll them around a pencil (you can use anything round that works for you, just make sure it’s not metal as you will be using a hair iron on it).
  4. Once you have rolled the entire section on the pencil press it with a straightener.
  5. Make sure your hair are closely and tightly wrapped around the pencil.
  6. Once you’ve pressed them, you can take the pencil out of the hair, leave them as they are or open them up a bit. Totally up to you.

#4 Loose Pencil Curls

This is much similar to the previous method but the results are drastically different.

Steps:

  1. Take a small section of your hair.
  2. Wrap them flat around your pencil.
  3. Next press them between the plates of a straightener.
  4. Finally take the pencil out.

This will give you a very different texture from the previous curling method as you won’t be twisting the hair before you wrap them around the pencil. Nevertheless, they look beautiful once you do the entire hair and open them around to fix them.
